Hello Bloggers/Followers! Ok so this post is starting off with a funny story. Normally I get LOTS of bings from my phone for my blogs. Hourly I get a buzz or two but these past few days things have been kind of quiet.

I HAVEN’T POSTED! I’m sorry followers. I hope no one thought I went awol. I’ve been busy with classes, work and this last read. I linked my facebook and twitter to this and I’ve been posting almost daily. If you ever wonder where I am, check out my homepage. My twitter, facebook and fanpage can be seen there. Go ahead and click follow 😀

New year calls for new and bigger things. This week has had a lot of events. I have a new job, I start publishing this weekend and here’s the BIG one. I FIRED MY EDITOR. Ugh, this bummed me out because I really liked her but I really didn’t like her attitude. When it comes to the books I think of anyone who helps me as a partner. It’s not strictly business with me. I’m not in this for the money. I love my books and I need people who are supportive, loyal and more than anything a friend. I think of this thing as a team. I fully support those who help, I have their backs and I expect the same. So a moment of silence for my very, very first editor…

You will be missed. I don’t need an editor at this present moment so losing her doesn’t have much affect. I was going to have her help with publishing and publicity for Hero’s  Tale. So she messed up her percentages. The more she helped the higher the percentage she would have gotten. She’s stuck at 10 now. I never told her about percentages because I didn’t want money to motivate her. I need people who genuinely like this project.

Thankfully, I took precaution for this. I still have people who will help me and I’m not alone. I just had higher hopes for my editor because I saw her as a right hand man. My actual partner. So now I’m on the look out for another partner. Base pay is $120 for editing and I give bonuses depending on how satisfied I am with the edit. You get a 15% cut of whatever I make from the book you edit for me. The more helpful you are the higher your percentage rises. You have to be local people 🙂  I’ll give more details about that later.

My progress with Hero’s Tale is going well. I just have to finish the read. I’m on chapter 8 of 34. There’s no point in lying to you all. But I plan to get this done before the first of the month. Worst case scenario, publishing starts between the 1st and 10th, or IN February but the process shouldn’t be started no later than mid Feb. My goal is to start on the first.

Fun fun stuff. Bloggers my Facebook and Twitter can both be found on my home page. Twitter is on the left and my Facebook is on the right I think. Follow my twitter to see my daily activity and like the fan page. I thought this site had a lot of followers. Twitter has a whole different ball game.

I love this! If you LOVE romance or love to read in general FOLLOW THIS BLOG. Seriously, I follow back always and who doesn’t like mutual support? I’ve seen reviewers too. FOLLOW. Because I will need people to critique my books, good or bad, doesn’t matter. Some help is better than none at all. I’ll keep you guys updated. Thanks to all that follow me. If you have a fan page, I’ll be sure to follow you. Thanks followers 🙂 Keep writing and blogging

Let me share something bloggers

Hero’s Tale is coming along great but this is about something else. This may sound crazy or really cool depending on how you perceive it. Okay so for about two years or so I’ve had these dreams where this woman appears. It’s the same woman every single time and it drives me insane

I’m clearly not the best artist. Anyway this girl started out around teenaged back in high school (junior/senior year) where the dreams began. She ages as I age and it’s pretty weird. Her hair gets longer, her features change and her hair grows. Keep in mind I have NEVER seen this woman in real life. Only in my dreams. I can not make this up people.

The things that never change is her her hair style and clothing’s color. She has this long dark brown hair that’s curly. I compare it’s texture to a cloud, it’s fluffy, abundant and curly. She always wears purple clothing. Her outfits change from Jean and shirts to dresses with pantyhose, but they’re always purple.

Last night I had this dream that I was driving down a street. Pedestrians are pretty obnoxious out here. They j-walk and they aren’t even quick about it. They’ll stroll and glare at you when you get close. As a driver that annoys me. As we drive, these five guys rudely cross a railroad when I’m obviously feet away.

I say “oh come on. Really?” So I cut them off, nearly hitting the third guy. Now in my defense, I knew I wasn’t going to hit the guy, I was just making a point. So we come to a stoplight IMMEDIATELY after the crossing.

The group of five come to the car and try to pull me out. I shut the door and tell the lady in purple to lock the doors and shut her eyes. She does. So I’m trying to stay calm, they’re banging on the car as I wait for the light. Eventually I speed off.

In that dream she didn’t do much and I don’t even remember her talking. In other dreams we’re sexual or romantic, a couple. She’s like a guide when I’m in a bad mood. Last night was the first time I dreamed about her in a long time. So I wrote about it lol.

I don’t know what these dream mean at all. Idk if it’s an overactive imagination or something more. It’s bizarre because it’s the SAME woman every time. Sometimes I catch myself thinking, “I hope I see her the next time I sleep. She’s pleasant”. But baaghaaa! I can’t do that to myself. This woman is a dream and not real as far as I know. The dreams are nice but frustrating.

I’m thinking about making paintings and making some sort of social accounts on Instagram, seeing if anyone who resembles her comments or if someone has seen “the lady in purple” in real life. That’d be pretty…weird, yet awesome.

This reminded me of Ruby Sparks. For those who know about that movie I’ll tell you this, I did not create “the lady in purple”. I can’t remember when the dreams started but I do know, she isn’t like any characters I’ve written. And I don’t plan to write her as a character.

Any thoughts, comments on this picture? Leave a comment. Have you seen her? COMMENT! Haha

I’ll post my update later bloggers

Social Media for Writers

A must read for people who want ways to get their work out for people to see.

^^^^^ This might be the reaction of some writers reading the title of this post.

Many writers dislike–even fear–diving into the world of social media. I’ve talked about how Technology Helps Writing, but I haven’t specifically talked about social media. I had said that it was a post for another day. Well, today is that day. Personally, I love using social media. Not just for personal reasons, but for promoting my books/blog too. If done correctly, you should see more people viewing your blog and/or taking more interest in your personal writing. Writers who can utilize social media correctly are awesome because it’s not something just anyone can do. You have to know the basics first. Whether you choose Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vine, Pinterest, etc. is up to you. I’m going to give you some ways to advertise your writing for some of the websites I just listed. Keep…

Fiction to reality.

Writers! Read this! 😀

How many of you get inspired by your own work? As a fiction novelist I always find myself reliving certain events that I have a degree. Obviously I can’t fly nor do I have any supernatural abilities.

But I do see some of the characteristics from characters I’ve written, in myself. Bravery, romance, persistence, determination and a lot of other things are shown in my stories. When I’m faced with an obstacle I always tend to think back to a story I wrote. The characters inspire me to push myself beyond my limits.

It’s funny because this kind of shifts back and forth. Events from my life inspire characters and events in my stories. But at the same time the characters and events written in my stories inspire me to make certain events in my life possible by taking risk and pushing myself.

For example there’s a character named Lyssa Bietzomb in a story I’ve worked on. It’s called Blossom.

The story centers around an android that was made to protect the creator’s little girl, after her mother dies. The creator became obsessed with his wife’s death and tried to bring her back to life. Through this he created a virus that not only revives the dead, but turns them into monster like creatures that kill anything that breathes. His daughter was one of the virus’s first victims. Lyssa then sought vengeance on her creator.

Lyssa is an  android that is basically supposed to act as a mother figure and protector for her creator’s daughter. She has the ability to learn human emotion and thought processing. As she seeks vengeance, she comes across a little girl named Macy Ambers. Her mother was killed after the virus went viral. Lyssa eventually grows attached to the little girl as they try to survive the apocalyptic era.

I wrote that story to try and depict the type of woman I would want to marry and the type of child I would want. Lyssa and Macy are a perfect example.

Coming back to my life, that story inspires me to be like Lyssa towards children. I’m kind and playful. My friend Tylor has these siblings. His little brother is four and he somewhat clings to me whenever I’m over. I do what Lyssa would do. I listen to him, I play with him. I never yell at him but I show him manners and always tell him to listen to his mother. It makes me laugh when he listens to me. In a way a character I created has taught me some knowledge of connecting with a child in a positive way without having to yell. You go Lyssa.

Many, many characters that I have made influence me not just Blossom. It’s strange because all of the main characters have some of my traits. I don’t do this on purpose. But as I read the stories over I start to notice the similarities between myself and the characters. I’m starting to believe that story writing actually helps you learn who you are. It brings your true self out without you realizing it.

I’m wondering if any of you writers ever notice yourself in the characters you create. Share and leave comments. 🙂 And if you do notice similarities, is it accidental or do you purposely do it? For me it’s a mix.
